Paediatric ENT medicine
Diagnostics and therapy range designed for the needs of children
Ear, nose and throat diseases in early childhood differ considerably from those in adulthood. Likewise, factors causing ear, nose and throat diseases are different. For example an enlarged pharyngeal tonsil (also medically incorrectly referred to as "nasal polyp") plays a key role as a disease-causing factor in childhood.
An interdisciplinary cooperation with the paediatrician in charge is therefore a prerequisite for a well coordinated therapy. Consequently, the treatment of diseases affecting the ear, nose and throat area in children is another key area in our ENT group practice.
Diagnosis and therapy are tailored to the children's needs. In addition to child-related audiological test methods like child audiometry, otoacoustic emission measurements, impedance measurements and BERA thresholds, the complete allergological spectrum including laboratory and rhinomanometric allergenic test as well as imaging methods, sonography and endoscopy are at your disposal.
In case the primary conservative treatment does not cure the illness, your child can undergo surgery in the adjacent ENT clinic as an outpatient or inpatient.
